I am a STEM educator and mentor who specializes in chemistry, math, biology, computer science, and executive function. I have over 5 years of tutoring and teaching experience including multiple years as a 1-1 chemistry tutor and course TA as an undergraduate and graduate student. I’ve since expanded my practice to include high school and middle school students. I’ve guided learners through everything from fundamental chemistry concepts to complex problem-solving in biology, math, and computer programming.
I hold a B.S. in Chemistry from UC Berkeley and an M.S. in Life Sciences from the Keck Graduate Institute, bringing both academic depth and over five years of professional experience in the life sciences industry. This combination of theoretical and practical expertise helps me make scientific learning both relevant and rigorous.
I firmly believe in personalization as the key to unlocking each student’s potential. By understanding their unique learning styles, strengths, and challenges, I create tailored approaches that help them succeed. My teaching centers on explaining concepts from the ground up—starting with first principles and showing how core ideas connect to advanced topics. I focus on instilling confidence by fostering problem-solving strategies, study techniques, and critical thinking skills. My goal is to create engaging, structured sessions where challenging, yet attainable, goals are set and achieved.
Outside of the classroom, I coach swimming and enjoy graphic design.
