Julian Condo

M.Ed

After earning my M.Ed. in Secondary English Education from The Ohio State University and teaching in the classroom for multiple years at a nationally recognized private middle school, I began tutoring students 1-on-1 as an SAT, ACT, and academic tutor. Over the years, I have helped hundreds of students achieve amazing results SAT, ACT, ISEE, SSAT, and HSPT scores.

I have also served as an academic tutor and mentor to students from many of the most prestigious schools in the Bay Area. I worked as a director for a local Bay Area tutoring company for multiple years before founding my own firm, dedicated to my teaching ideals.

I believe that, with the right kind of personalized and responsive teaching, every student can make dramatic improvements in their self-confidence and abilities.

B.A. Spanish & Latin American Studies

I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Spanish and Latin American Studies. I later received an M.A. in Education from the University of the Pacific. Since then, I have been a faculty member of East Palo Alto Charter School where I teach 5th Grade. I am also concurrently a Cooperating Teacher (Mentor Teacher) for the Stanford Teacher Education Program (STEP). During the summer, I work as an Academic Coach for Aim High in Redwood City, CA where I help middle school teachers further develop their craft.

I joined Bay Area Learning Partners in 2018 as a proctor before taking on my first set of students in June 2019. I am thrilled to be able to tutor such bright and committed students preparing to take the Lower Level ISEE.

When I am not teaching or tutoring, I enjoy riding my bike, playing piano, and spending time with my family.

B.A., Hons, Philosophy

University of Gloucestershire: Post Graduate Certificate of Education, Secondary Education
University of Sheffield: BA Hons, Philosophy.

I moved to the Bay Area from my home nation, the United Kingdom, in 2018. The UK is still my true home but it is a pleasure to exchange the rain for the sunny and glorious climate of California.

Before this move I spent five years teaching Philosophy, Ethics, and Religious Studies in a High School in the rural South West of England to students of a wide range of backgrounds and abilities. This instilled in me the significance of finding creative and personalised ways of reaching every student and helping them connect with profound and complicated ideas. The challenge of learning is a real pleasure.
